Roughly 2 months ago I purchased some of the so famous Sukin Skin Care products from my local chemist. I’d heard they are great and affordable so why not try them? I might have gone a little overboard but they did have a sale on, perfect opportunity to try as much as possible. I purchased the Facial Moisturiser, Facial Masque, Mist Toner, Day Cream and Rose Hip Oil which is used after using the Day Cream.
Sukin has now become one of my favourite brands for skincare products. All products I’ve tried from Sukin have natural ingredients and gentle formulation, always working well on my sensitive skin, leaving it hydrated and soft without spending a fortune.
The Facial Moisturiser (RRP $9,99 AUD) seems to be quite good on the skin however it did give me a little bit of a burning sensation on the first use. I do have a very sensitive skin, therefore not all products work great on me. I did try it a few more times and it seems to be hydrating and leaving my skin feel nice and soft. For the price paid it is absolutely amazing. I’ve been using it fair a bit and it’s almost finished, but I probably wouldn’t get it again. At the same time, it’s exciting to find a product that I can use till finish for once and not just forget about it in my bathroom cabinetry where most similar products have ended in the past (hoping hubby won’t ready this).
The Facial Masque (RRP $15,99 AUD) is great. I found this has a great hydrating and exfoliating effect on my skin and always leaves my skin feeling super smooth and clean. It doesn’t dry my skin out or makes me break out. It applies on like lotion but then after 5 minutes or so it starts hardening up like clay mask but it is not a clay mask. Pretty happy with the results.
The Mist Toner (RRP $9,99 AUD), I have to admit, I am not too sure why I purchased this product. I guess I had never used a Mist Toner before and was a little curious? It leaves your skin feeling refreshed and looking amazing. I have been using before applying makeup on and after removing it at night, but also it works as a makeup setting spray too. I was extremely sceptical purchasing the product but after using for a week or so, I couldn’t be happier this product wasn’t a waste of money and cabinetry space!
Finally, the Day Cream (RRP $23,99 AUD) and Rose Hip Oil (RRP $9,99 AUD), the smell on these products is not strong. It has a nice rose oil smell to it! My initial reaction to the cream was that it looked fairly thick but it absorbs well into my sensitive skin. I love how with this cream I don’t have to worry about getting irritations on my face and keeps my skin hydrated. As per the Rose Hip Oil, you apply it after the day cream. It smells a little funny but rather than that is pretty good. I have nothing to compare it to as I had never used Hip Oil before.
Over all my experience with Sukin has been great. I recently purchased their body scrub and face scrub too and they seem equally good products. In the end we all are looking at some extent for more environmentally friendly products which are good quality and doesn’t cost a fortune and Sukin is an innovative Australian brand who are also thinking green and tick all the boxes at the same time. Sukin products are not tested on animals, are packaged in fully recyclable material and the ingredients used are biodegradable and grey water safe. Most importantly it’s alcohol and paraben free which is great if you have sensitive skin or allergies, so suitable for most skin types.
What Sukin products have you tried and what has been your experience? Any other similar products you would recommend in trying?
